  • CONTENTS:

  • FIXING INSTRUCTIONS
  • Ensure existing wall is sound and clean to ensure connector has direct contact with existing masonry.
  • Locate the first channel above DPC level at centre point of the new masonry to be constructed.
  • Plumb the section marking the fixing holes, then drill and plug the existing wall.
  • Lightly screw the first channel then slot the upper channel into the lower section and plumb mark and drill the remaining fixing points.
  • Align both connectors then tighten all coach fixing screws.
  • Lay bricks or blocks for the new wall in conventional way. Be sure to bed them with mortar against the starter.
  • Install the turn and slide ties into the channel, spacing them at 300mm centres. The ties should be completely surrounded with mortar.


  • IMPORTANT NOTES
  • For cavity wall construction, each leaf of the new wall requires a Trade Start wall connector.
  • For external application ensure the bottom edge of the channel is placed above existing DPC level.
  • The vertical joint between the existing wall and new walls must be completely weather sealed.
